The Best Books We Have Read This Year

New Years resolution is actually going really well so far this year which has been to read at least 1 book a month.

From someone who hasn't read the front to back of a book in years I was sure this one wouldn't stick but its almost April and we are going strong so I thought I would recommend the books I have loved so far.

The Younger Wife by Sally Hempworth

A heart surgeon at the top of his field, Stephen Aston is getting married again. But first he must divorce his current wife, even though she can no longer speak for herself.

I liked this book a lot, it was scandalous and kept me interested all the way to the end. I would give it a 7/10

The Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Such an amazing read of the life of a movie star who lived an epic life. Her romances and how she got to where she is. I loved the ending and thought it was a beautifully told story and was just announced that Netflix has picked it up which is amazing.

10/10

Verity by Colleen Hoover

A little bit of a darker read and super suspenseful. I think I read this in a day!

A little raunchy with a whole lot of scandal so we love that.

Written from the perspectives of both Verity and Lowen, Verity explores violence, trauma, and truth. Writer Lowen Ashleigh sees a man die on the way to a meeting with her publisher. She is aided by a handsome stranger named Jeremy Crawford. They bond immediately and share their recent personal experiences with grief.

8/10

It end with us by Colleen Hoover

It Ends with Us is a book that follows a girl named Lily who has just moved and is ready to start her life after college. Lily then meets a guy named Ryle and she falls for him. As she is developing feelings for Ryle, Atlas, her first love, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle.

This was a really bitter sweet read, I loved the story line and the characters and there are some beautiful life lessons.

9/10

One Life by Tina Tower

"One Life is an inspiring guide on how to experience ALL that life has to offer. It will empower you to rise up, take control of your life and live your journey to its fullest. Tina Tower shows that it's never too late, or too early to start creating your dreams and live them."

A business book that doesn't feel like a business book. She has had an incredible life and is extremely inspiring.
